Sam Smith is keeping fans in the loop as he undergoes surgery on his vocal cords.
On Thursday, the British singer posted a an Instagram photo from the hospital following his operation. The 22-year-old posed in a wheelchair with his nurse. He also tweeted:
Sam informed fans about the operation last week, after he was forced to cancel several concerts on his world tour. At the time, he said doctors expected that the vocal cord procedure would keep him from performing for about six to eight weeks.
