Beloved TV and movie actor Robin Williams is dead of an apparent suicide. The Marin County Sheriff's Office issued a release Monday saying Williams was found inside his home in Tiburon, California Monday after a 911 call. An investigation into the cause of death is underway, although Williams' longtime publicist is suggesting the actor may have taken his own life.
Authorities suspect Williams died of suicide due to asphyxia. The 63-year-old actor was discovered unresponsive at his home in Tiburon, California at about noon local time Monday.
Williams' wife Susan Schneider released a statement Monday, saying "This morning, I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken."
