Lorde says there’s no bad blood between her and Iggy Azalea. She addressed her supposed feud with the “Fancy” rapper, who had recently slammed her Nirvana tribute at the Rock Hall ceremony.
Iggy had said that she didn’t think the performance was “appropriate” because she felt that Lorde was “not Kurt Cobain’s peer.” But Lorde says she “had a good time” performing alongside rockers Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic and, to her, “that’s all that mattered.” She adds that she still has “respect” for Iggy as an artist.
Lorde’s comments come after Iggy clarified her criticism on Twitter. She apologized and said she considers Lorde “an awesome chick” and her “southern hemispheric soul sister.”
