Lil Wayne is getting serious about leaving Cash Money. He is reportedly planning to sue Birdman in order to be released from his contract -- and claims that he's owed an $8 million advance for the yet-to-be released Tha Carter V
Weezy is also demanding he leaves Cash Money Records with all Young Money Entertainment artists. Lil Wayne plans to keep Young Money artists under his label, seeing that they're under contract. That includes Drake, Nicki Minaj, Christina Milian, Lil Twist and Mack Maine.
A possible setback in Lil Wayne's plan may be that the Young Money artists have distribution deals with Cash Money, which may have to be resolved in court. Also, Birdman has played a big role in the majority, if not all, of the Young Money artists careers.
