Katy Perry appears to be the biggest female money maker in music of the last year in comparison to pop peers like Lady Gaga, Beyoncé and even her rival Taylor Swift, according to Forbes' just-released list of the Top-Earning Women In Music 2015.
On Wednesday November 4th Forbes reported that the California Gurl claimed the top spot with $135 million dollars mostly because of her Prismatic World Tour, which clocked in about $2 million dollars per city during their scoring period. Endorsements like Coty, Claire's and Covergirl also pushed her to the front of the list.
It makes for interesting placement considering Taylor Swift landed at the runner-up position with $80 million dollars, courtesy of her chart-topping 1989 LP and her 1989 World Tour, which grossed about $4 million bucks per city. At this point, she's vying for that number one spot on next year's list.
