Justin Bieber is closing the book on his DUI case in Miami. The pop star is accepting a plea deal that will see him escape criminal charges in exchange for guilty pleas to lesser charges of careless driving and resisting an officer, stemming from his arrest back in January.
A judge signed off on the agreement Wednesday. The plea deal will see Bieber attend anger management classes and view videos about the dangers of driving under the influence. He will also pay a 500-dollar fine, cover court costs associated with the case, and donate 50-thousand-dollars to a charitable organization.
Bieber was not in court for Wednesdays proceedings. His lawyers entered his plea on his behalf. The 20-year-old singer was arrested in Miami Beach in January. He reportedly failed a sobriety test and tested positive for marijuana and prescription pills.
