It’s been reported several times that Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” was the result of the pop titan’s fall out with Katy Perry, so it's not so surprising to learn that the brunette beauty might be hitting back.
Over the weekend, some die-hard fans noticed that Perry had registered a brand-new song called “1984” on music publisher website BMI. Let’s connect the dots. Not only is 1984 the year that Perry was born, but it’s also strangely similar to the title of T-Swift’s mega-successful LP 1989. Coincidence? I think not.
According to the BMI listing, “1984” was co-written by a few familiar names, including Dallas Austin and Andreas Carlsson ("Waking Up in Vegas"), which sheds some light as to the direction of the singer’s next project.
