With the moment the lights dropped at the 102.7 KIIS FM Jingle Ball in Los Angeles Friday night, so launched more than four hours of excited teenage screams interluded by radio's top hits and music's biggest names.

First on stage to open up the show was Taylor Swift who as usual didn't disappoint. She performed old hits like "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and newer hits like "Blank Space" and "Shake It Off" She was followed by artists like Becky G who sang "Shower" and Kiesza who sang "Hideaway".

Pharrell delivered a medley of hits from his massive catalogue, including "Drop It Like It's Hot," "Blurred Lines" and "Get Lucky," and introduced surprise guest Gwen Stefani for their new song "Spark the Fire." Next Nick Jonas, who was also the nights guest host performed his new songs "Chains" and "Jealous". He also brought Demi Lovato up as a surprise guest, so they could perform "Avalanche".

Sets by Charli XCX, Rixton, Shawn Mendes, Rita Ora and Meghan Trainor followed, showing off some of pop's biggest up and comers, as well as a quick surprise appearance by Ed Sheeran. I didn't know I was doing this until today, but this will be fun," Sheeran told the crowd.

Iggy Azalea took to the stage next performing "Black Widow" with Rita Ora as well. She also had "Fancy" and "Beg For It" on her set. Jessie J and Ariana Grande followed. Jessie J performed "Burnin Up" without backup dancers as most the night's other artists had. Ariana performed her Christmas song "Santa Tell Me" and brought up surprise guests The Weeknd for "Love Me Harder" and boyfriend Big Sean for "Best Mistake". Sean was even rejected a kiss near the end of the performance!

Closing out the show was Sam Smith and then 5 Seconds of Summer. Sam Smith took to the stage performing "Stay With Me" literally hours after being nominated for six Grammys. 5 SOS performed "What I Like About You" and "She Looks So Perfect" with the crowed also singing along.
