Chris Brown says he will take his chances at trial. The troubled singer appeared in court Wednesday in Washington, D.C. where he rejected a plea deal for a misdemeanor assault charge he picked up back in October. The charge led to a Los Angeles judges recent decision to revoke Browns probation for his assault case against ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
It was a frenzied scene outside D.C. Superior Court where Browns hearing was held Wednesday. Security officers were reportedly overwhelmed by fans who flooded the courthouse in hopes of catching a glimpse of the singer.
Brown and his bodyguard are accused of striking a man outside of a hotel on October 27th, although there are conflicting stories about how the altercation began. Reports suggest the dispute started over an attempt to take a photograph. But Browns camp says the man tried to board his tour bus and that the singers bodyguard was protecting him.
