Drake is calling out Macklemore for apologizing to Kendrick Lamar after winning the Grammy for Best Rap Album. He claims the apology was “wack” and questions why Macklemore would even post a screenshot of the private message on Instagram.
To him, the show of remorse felt “cheap” and disingenuous. If Macklemore felt he didnt deserve the Grammy win, Drake says he should have put that angst into his future music.
The “Nothing Was The Same” rapper doesnt agree with Macklemore’s apology, but he didn’t dispute his win because Macklemore created a brand of music “that appealed to more people.”
