Demi Lovato seems to have mastered the pop music territory with mega-hits like “Neon Lights,” “Really Don’t Care,” and “Heart Attack” off her 2013 self-titled album. But for her upcoming fifth release, the 22-year-old is eager to try something new.
“This year, it’s super important to me that I embrace who I am as an artist and to become more authentic to who I am,” Demi says “I want to release music that is different, that I’ve never done before … and that showcases who I am and what I can do vocally. So I’m very, very excited to explore with different sounds which is what I’m doing in the studio right now and to see what comes about.”
Demi continues to express her interest in exploring a new genre by listing rapper Eminem as a dream collaborator. “I would love to work with Eminem actually,” she says. “I can relate to him with being in recovery and things like that so I think we could make something awesome together.”
