Fans eager for news about Adele’s next album may have found what they were looking for on the star’s birthday on Monday. The British singer turned 26, and sent out a tweet to her over 20 million followers reading, “Bye Bye 25… See you again later this year.”
The tweet is being interpreted as a hint about a new album, possibly titled “25.” It’s been rumored to be in the works since last year. Adele’s previous two albums, 19 and the best-selling 21, were both named after the age Adele was while recording them.
Very little information about Adele’s much-anticipated follow-up has emerged in recent months. Ryan Tedder has confirmed working with the singer as a producer, and Phil Collins and rapper Wiz Khalifa have also spoken about spending time in the studio with Adele.
